Set up Denby in 20 minutes
When you create your firm, Denby walks you through four steps: your firm's name and logo, the kind of work you do, your first client with their contact's email, and your first document request. Each step can be skipped and finished later, and the whole setup takes most firms about 20 minutes.
Before you start
You’ll need your logo as a PNG or JPEG (optional, you can add it later) and the name and email address of one client contact. The first request goes to that contact, so pick a client with something real to send you.
The four steps
- Your firm. Enter your firm’s name as clients know it and, if you have it to hand, upload your logo. Denby makes your portal’s favicon from the logo, so clients see your mark in their browser tab.
- Your kind of work. Choose agency, consultant, studio, practice, recruiting or other. Denby uses this to suggest request templates for your trade. You can change or add templates later.
- Your first client. Enter the client’s name and their contact’s name and email address. The contact signs in with a link sent to that address; they never need a password.
- Your first request. Denby pre-fills a request from the template for your kind of work. Edit the items so they match what you actually need, set a due date and select Send request.
When you finish, Denby shows: “Your first request is on its way. We’ll remind them so you don’t have to.”
What happens next
Your client receives an email with a button to their portal. Reminders go out automatically on day 2, 5, 9 and 14 until everything on the list has arrived; see how automatic reminders work. You’ll see each file arrive on the request’s page and in your Overview.
