Send an invoice

Updated 25 September 2026

Go to Invoices and select New invoice. Choose the client and currency, add lines with a description, quantity and unit price, set a due date and paste your payment link. Save the draft, then select Send invoice. The client sees it in their portal with a Pay invoice button that opens your link.

Create and send an invoice

  1. Go to Invoices and select New invoice.
  2. Choose the Client and the Currency.
  3. Under Lines, add each item with a Description, Qty and Unit price. Quantities can be hours or days; Denby works out the totals.
  4. Set a Due date, and add Notes such as bank details or payment terms.
  5. Paste your Payment link from Stripe, PayPal, Wise or your bank. It must start with https://.
  6. Select Save draft, check it, then select Send invoice.

Invoice numbers run in order for your firm, like INV-0001. Each contact at the client receives an email with the amount, due date and a button to the invoice.

When the client pays

The client selects Pay invoice, which opens your payment link in a new tab. They pay you directly; Denby never handles the money. When the payment arrives, open the invoice and select Mark paid.

Changing or cancelling an invoice

  • A draft can be edited freely, or removed with Delete draft.
  • Once sent, the lines and currency are fixed. You can still change the due date, notes and payment link.
  • To cancel a sent invoice, select Void invoice and send a new one. The voided invoice stays on record.

Invoices are included on Studio and above.
