Send something for approval
Go to Approvals and select New approval to send a client a scope, quote or design to sign off. The client reads it in their portal and either approves by typing their full name or asks for changes with a note. Denby records who, when, from which device and exactly what they saw, in a PDF certificate.
Ask for approval
- Go to Approvals and select New approval.
- Choose the Client and enter a Title, such as “Website redesign: scope and fee”.
- Under What they’re approving, write the scope, price and terms. You can use bold, lists and links.
- Optionally, Attach a file that’s already on the client’s page, such as a PDF or a design.
- Under Who approves, leave Any contact or choose one person.
- Select Send for approval.
The approver gets an email with a button straight to the approval.
What the client does
They read everything on one page and choose:
- Approve: type their full name, tick to confirm they agree, and approve.
- Request changes: write what needs to change.
An approval can only be decided once. If they ask for changes, update the work and send a new approval.
The certificate
When a client approves, Denby creates a PDF certificate with the typed name, time, IP address, device, and a fingerprint of the exact text and file approved. Download it from the approval’s page. It’s an audit-trail electronic signature; it isn’t identity-verified signing.
Approvals are included on Studio and above.
