Turn on two-step sign-in

Updated 25 September 2026

Two-step sign-in asks for a 6-digit code from an authenticator app after your password. Turn it on in Settings, under Security: confirm your password, scan the QR code with your app, save your backup codes, and enter the code the app shows. Owners of a paid firm must turn it on.

Turn it on

  1. Go to Settings, then Security.
  2. Under Two-step sign-in, enter your password and select Set up two-step sign-in.
  3. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app such as 1Password, Google Authenticator or Authy. If you can’t scan, enter the key shown beside it.
  4. Save your backup codes somewhere safe, such as your password manager. Each works once if you lose your phone.
  5. Enter the 6-digit code your app shows and select Turn on.

Signing in afterwards

After your password, Denby asks for the current code from your app. Codes change every 30 seconds; if one is rejected, wait for the next.

Lost your phone?

Use one of your backup codes instead of an app code. Then turn two-step sign-in off and on again to set up your new phone, which gives you new backup codes. If you have no backup codes, email support@denby.app from your account’s address.

Where you’re signed in

The same page lists Where you’re signed in. Sign out of a device you don’t recognise, or select Sign out of all other devices.
